I know of a Bishop once being told that, during his time serving, he would likely offend everyone in the ward. He responded with “Do I have to spread it out over the five years, or can I just stand up and do it all at once to get it over with?”.
After building my confidence that God still loved me and was willing to guide me through His Spirit, I took that communication to the next level. Could I really get an affirmation of a decision between wants and needs?
A few people were close to me encouraging me to stand up for myself and make sure my story got out there. But, it was clear to me that, even if I tried to defend myself, there was no guarantee my story would not be twisted by the time it got to the second ear. I decided to just let it go.
Is it possible that not forgiving someone of murder is worse than the murder itself?
